CESA 8’s Driver & Traffic Safety Department is available to help school districts to retain or resurrect the Department of Public Instruction certified driver education programs. CESA 8 can provide the instructor, vehicle, instructional materials, and program expertise for students to meet both classroom and behind the wheel requirements at little or no cost to districts and a reasonable cost to prospective drivers and their families. Exact services provided and costs will be coordinated for each district based on travel distances, vehicles, and instructors available.
The main responsibility for the school is to provide classroom space and assist with program application and may also be asked to help with reporting duties depending on the numbers of students.
